Medical high-precision implantable nickel titanium pipe project settled in Kunshan Zhangpu

In 2024, the R&D and industrialization project of medical high-precision implantable nickel-titanium pipe was held in Zhangpu Town, Kunshan City. The project is jointly developed by Kangti Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and Southeast University, with a total investment of 100 million yuan. It will be officially put into production in April 2024, and the cumulative output value is expected to exceed 500 million yuan within 5 years, and it is planned to be listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. The project has the leading nickel-titanium alloy solution technology at home and abroad, will solve the problem of domestic substitution of medical nickel-titanium alloy pipes, drive and attract more implantation medical device enterprises to invest in Zhangpu, and promote the development of high-end medical device industrial cluster.

Patent CN119304525A, published on January 14, 2025, provides a new processing and preparation method of Nitinol nasolacrimal duct stent. The method includes steps such as obtaining and straightening nickel-titanium alloy bar material, mechanical drilling, polishing of internal and external surfaces, cold rolling deformation, hot drawing deformation, room temperature drawing deformation, multi-process coupling heat treatment, centerless grinding and electrochemical polishing, laser cutting and vacuum heat treatment. This method can improve the quality and superelasticity of the pipe.
